10-Year-Old Justin Wiersema Represents Advanced Roofing Technologies in Annual Pinewood Derby
FORT COLLINS- COLO. –APRIL 6, 2010—March 13, 2010, 10-year-old Justin Wiersema put his carving skills acquired by being a Cub Scout to the test. For the third year in a row, Wiersema entered his own creation into the Pinewood Derby, the most widely recognized Cub Scouting event, where the boys carve cars out of a 6-inch block of wood. The kits containing the block of wood and supplies are handed out three to four weeks before the race and parent assistance is allowed with the construction of the racecars, but it is encouraged that the scouts themselves build as much of the car as possible.
